Feature01

World-class low viscosity

TLA and TUL, our outstanding grades with world-class low viscosity contribute to reducing VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) by reducing the amount of solvent diluted for coating and achieving high solid coating. These merits are achieved by our technology for reducing the viscosity of polyisocyanate. At the same time, since the resin viscosity after solvent volatilization is low, the flow property and smoothness of the coating film are improved during the baking process, achieving excellent appearance.

Feature02

Reduces energy cost and CO2 during coating

The low-temperature curing technology of blocked polyisocyanate used for one-liquid type coating can reduce temperature for baking automobiles in automotive coating lines. The above merit greatly contributes to reducing energy cost and CO2 in the automotive coating process.

Feature03

High weatherability

Urethane coatings with excellent weatherability can be applied. The application of a highly weatherability coating contributes to the longer life of the interior and exterior surface of automobiles.

Usage example01

Curing agent for the top clear coat of vehicle bodies

Urethane coating containing “DURANATE™” is used for clear coat because it excels in appearance, weatherability, acid resistance, and scratch resistance (usage type: isocyanurate type polyisocyanate).

Usage example02

Curing agent for the base coat of vehicle bodies

Base coat coating containing “DURANATE™” improves the crosslinking density required for multi-layer coating films and can impart chipping resistance*1 and base concealability*2.

*1: “Chipping resistance”: Resistivity to damage to the coating which is caused by collisions with stones, etc. during vehicle running
*2: “Base concealment”: Performance of concealing a base color
(Usage type: Isocyanurate type blocked polyisocyanate)

Usage example03

Coating curing agent for plastic parts of vehicles

Coating for plastics which contain “DURANATE™” (for bumpers, interior parts, and so on) can be used as coating for automotive plastics because they harden at low temperature range of 80°C to 100°C.
(Usage type: Blocked polyisocyanate)

Other Efforts

We are developing a variety of low viscosity polyisocyanates and water-based polyisocyanates that comply with New National Standard for Restricted Chemical Substances in Consumer Products in China (GB/T).
