Asahi Kasei\u2019s optical polymer, AZP\u2122, will be featured at an upcoming plastics conference in Michigan, USA, on April 15-16, 2025. We will deliver an oral presentation and showcase an exhibition demonstrating how AZP\u2122 contributes to Head-Up Displays (HUDs).<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>In recent years, Head-Up Displays (HUDs) have gained widespread adoption in vehicles, enhancing driving safety by projecting critical information within the driver\u2019s line of sight. To further improve HUD performance while reducing system size, an optical resin with excellent moldability, durability, and high optical quality is essential.<\/p>\n

Asahi Kasei\u2019s advanced transparent polymer, AZP\u2122, combines the processability of conventional thermoplastic resins with near-zero birefringence, comparable to that of glass. This unique property ensures high transmittance and delivers exceptionally clear, high-fidelity images without luminance variations or color shifts, particularly in HUDs utilizing polarized optical systems. Moreover, AZP\u2122 offers outstanding light resistance, preventing yellowing even after prolonged exposure.<\/p>\n

In this presentation, we will explore HUD system configurations and demonstrate how the low birefringence of AZP\u2122 enhances optical performance, enabling sharper and more reliable visual displays in automotive applications.<\/p>\n
